Skincare Routine

It’s such a process to find a skincare routine that really works for your skin. Obviously, more important than the routine itself is finding the right skin care products for you to ensure a healthy and replenished complexion. Everyone is different so tips from friends or other beauty bloggers are definitely helpful but maybe not the best solution for your personal complexion.

I like to think of my skin type as pretty normal – it’s never too dry or too oily. It stays very consistent aside from the occasional spot so I’m thinking that is fairly similar to the majority of readers out there. I know this isn’t the universal case though – one of my friends actually began looking into what it takes to start creating your own cbd skincare brand after she tried some cannabis-based products that worked for her. That’s right, cannabis skin cream. How wild is that? Another one of my friends gave those CBD skincare products a try and found they disagreed with her skin really badly. She was red for weeks until she opted to buy natural skincare products australia, and now her skin is radiant again – or at least it looks it from the photos she’s sent me! The point is, everyone’s skin is very different.

That’s why I’ve put together a roundup of my skincare favorites at the moment. These products I’ve tested over weeks – some, even months and years. They’re all drug store products, so definitely reasonably priced and perfect for someone wanting to try out a new skincare regime or just implement a couple steps I’ve outlined below.
Skincare Routine

  1. Neutrogena Mask – Such a fantastic cleanser & mask. I get this from Target and use daily. If you have a few extra minutes, try leaving it on as a mask. Great for oil control.
  2. Oil of Olay Toner – After I wash my face, I swipe this toner on jumbo sized cotton balls and use all over my face. Great for minimizing the size of your pores so dirt won’t clog them all up and create blackheads!
  3. Neutrogena spot treatment – Perfect for those pesky little blemishes that pop up occasionally. It’s clear so you can leave it on through the day if you’re comfortable with a thin coat.
  4. St Ives Blemish Scrub – I’ve been using this exfoliator for years. Good for when I want a deep down clean. Leaves me feeling so refreshed.
  5. Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream – I actually use this all day long underneath my makeup. I have a lot of little spots from when I used to tan (insert shame here) so this brightening formula is natural and powerful.
  6. Jumbo Cotton Balls – Use the jumbo size. Trust me.
  7. Sensitive Skin Baby Wipes – I use these for just about everything but the sensitive formula is really great for when I need to remove a lot of eye makeup. Soft on my eyelashes, these wipes are a cheap alternative to makeup removers.
  8. Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm SPF 15 Vanilla – Carmex is such a staple. It’s a brand that has stuck it out throughout the years and I’m just obsessed with the soft vanilla flavor. Use this all year long!

I really hope this is helpful to many of you. I definitely love these products and have tested them long enough that I feel comfortable to recommend you try them out. Stay tuned for a Makeup Routine post I plan to do asap!
